Product Details

A unique and unusual pair of red metal Bidriware candle holders. They are in good vintage condition; with wear consistent with age and use. Some paint loss and remnants of wax see pictures. They stand approximately 6” tall. They are marked on the edge.

Bidri is an exquisite ancient metal art form, from southern India. White brass is blackened and then inlaid with gold or silver usually in an intricate floral pattern.

Although these candle holders are made in India they have a Scandinavian feel. These would make a delightful gift and would surely add whimsy to any decor.
